Kaiser Permanente's Supplier Development philosophy is to engage the talents and services of small and local suppliers and leverage Kaiser Permanente's buying power to make a sustainable impact on the total health of the communities we serve.

Our Policy

Kaiser Permanente's policy is to proactively support the involvement of small and local suppliers that demonstrate a commitment to meeting our high standards of excellence. The Tier II program serves as an enhancement to our existing efforts aimed at increasing "direct" (Tier 1) opportunities for small and local suppliers. Prime vendors are required to report their procurement activity on a quarterly basis, and this is a material provision of the vendor relationship with Kaiser Permanente.
